Memory Quilt FAQ's
1. Can I send in other types of shirts besides T-shirts?
Sure, send jersey's and sweatshirts too, they all hold good memories.
2. Do I have to wash or cut my shirts before I send them?
Wash, yes. Cut, that's up to you. Cutting your t-shirts and especially sweatshirts can lower your cost when
shipping your items to us. We understand...we're all trying to save some money these days. If you do cut
them, please be very generous around the logo so we have plenty to sew with. We need at least a
15"x15" square. However, if you would like to just throw everything in a box and leave the cutting to us, that's
perfectly fine too! The shirts are cut into 12"X12" squares to make your memory quilt.
3. Do I have to choose the color and/or pattern of fleece material used to make my quilt?
Nope, you can leave it up to us to make your blanket look fabulous or you can choose yourself by using the
drop down menus on the Quilts page. If you would like us to help you decide, just choose the "Do Over T's
pick" on the drop down menu. We will contact you to discuss before starting your quilt.
4. Can I use the front and the back of my T-shirts or a pocket or sleeve in my memory quilt?
Of course, just indicate in the comments box on the checkout page which shirts you want to use the back,
pocket, or sleeve and if you want to use the front of that shirt as well. Or just send us a note along with your
shirts.
5. Can you put smaller logos or pictures together to form one square?
Yes! We do it all the time.
6. Do you secure the front of the quilt to the back?
Absolutely! We sew the front of the quilt to the back by machine stitching along each sashing line. We do not
just tack by hand the front to the back. The sides are either machine sewn or as a fun option we can tie the
edges.
7. Can I wash my memory quilt?
You bet! Wash in cold, tumble dry on low. They are so cozy!
8. How long will it take to get my memory quilt?
It will take approx 4-6 weeks from the time we receive your t-shirts until you see your memory quilt on your
doorstep. So ORDER NOW!!
9. How do I get my T-shirts to Do over T's to make my memory quilt?
Take them to your local packaging and shipping store or take them to the US Post Office. If you are in no hurry
you can go on-line to the USPO.com and order a flat rate priority box for free (your mailman will bring it) and
then schedule a pick-up online as well (your mailman will pick it up).
